Who We Are, What We Do, and the Values We Stand By

At the Freelance Coalition for Developing Countries (FCDC), we believe in a world where BIPOC freelancers from underrepresented communities can access the tools, opportunities, and support needed to thrive in the global freelance marketplace.

We are a non-profit organization committed to bridging the gap for freelancers in developing countries by offering mentorship, training, and resources tailored to their unique challenges.

What We Do

Our mission is to create opportunities that help BIPOC freelancers to achieve success and sustainability in their careers. We provide:

  • Learning Resources: Equipping freelancers with technical and business skills to enhance their service offerings.
  • Mentorship: Connecting seasoned professionals with up-and-coming freelancers to foster knowledge transfer and skill-building.
  • Advocacy: Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the freelance and corporate sectors.

At the heart of FCDC is a thriving global community of marketers, SEOs, and freelancers, committed to supporting one another to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.

Our Yearly Initiatives

We’re proud to champion programs that make a tangible difference in the lives of freelancers.

Here’s what we aim to accomplish every year:

  1. The FCDC Training Cohort
    • Designed to develop technical expertise in Tech SEO and Content Marketing, this cohort equips participants with actionable knowledge to enhance their professional portfolios.
  2. The FCDC Mentorship Program
    • A program dedicated to fostering growth by pairing experienced mentors with BIPOC freelancers seeking to upskill in areas such as technical SEO, content writing, and email marketing.
  3. The FCDC Freelancers Fund
    • Addressing critical financial barriers, this fund provides freelancers with support for internet costs, transportation to job interviews, and essential tools like laptops.

Where Our Members Are Based.

We have an engaged community of 3000+ community members based in 75+ countries, including Nigeria, India, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan.

Our Core Values

Everything we do at the FCDC is guided by these five core values:

Diversity is at the core of who we are. We celebrate and amplify the voices of BIPOC freelancers, ensuring they are represented in the global freelance economy.

3. Collaboration and Community Support

A strong community fosters shared success. Through mentorship and peer-to-peer collaboration, we create a supportive network for all members.

4. Accountability and Growth

5. Advocacy for Change

We actively work to challenge systemic barriers and create an inclusive environment where everyone has a fair shot at success.

The FCDC is more than a non-profit; it’s a movement. We’re laying the foundation for an ecosystem where freelancers from developing countries can flourish.

Our initiatives are just the beginning, and we’re always seeking partnerships, mentors, and supporters who share our vision.
