Here’s What We’ve Achieved in Q2 2026 at The FCDC

Over the last three months, we’ve focused on creating more ways for BIPOC marketers and developers to learn, grow their careers, and access global opportunities.

We launched entirely new community programs, sponsored conference attendance, distributed hundreds of learning resources, and raised funding for future initiatives.

Here’s what we achieved together in Q2.

We raised £6,235.50 through Sip & Search Brighton 🎉

In April, we hosted Sip & Search Brighton alongside BrightonSEO, raising £6,235.50 to support The FCDC’s programs.

Every ticket purchased helps us fund mentorship, educational events, conference sponsorships, scholarships, and career opportunities for BIPOC talent.

This was our biggest fundraising event of the year so far, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, or helped make it happen.

We sponsored 21 members to attend BrightonSEO ✈️

For many attendees, it was their first opportunity to meet employers, connect with peers, build relationships, and learn directly from some of the best marketers in the industry.

We are grateful to our sponsors for making this possible.

We launched our mentorship programme 🤝

We paired 28 mentors with 27 mentees, connecting community members with experienced professionals across SEO, content marketing, and digital marketing.

Over the four weeks, mentees received one-to-one guidance designed to help them build confidence, develop practical skills, and make meaningful progress in their careers.

We relaunched the FCDC Expert Series 🎓

We brought back the FCDC Expert Series, our monthly webinar programme.

We kicked things off with Chima Mmeje, who taught members how to write highly converting copy with AI.

The series gives members free access to practical training from experienced marketers.

We launched three new career support programmes 🚀

Career growth doesn’t happen through learning alone, but also through feedback.

We introduced three new monthly community programmes:

AMA sessions with leading industry experts

CV Revamp sessions

LinkedIn Profile Reviews

These programmes give members direct access to practical advice, personalised feedback, and career guidance from professionals who have already built successful marketing careers.

Since launching, we’ve welcomed experts including Chima Mmeje, Joe Glover, James Congdon, Alexandra Sheehan, Bani Kaur, and more.

We distributed 714 content marketing course seats 📚

Through our partnership with Ryan Law, we distributed 714 seats for content marketing courses to community members worldwide.

These courses provide practical training that many members would otherwise struggle to access because of cost.

We’re incredibly grateful to Ryan for making this opportunity available.

We supported Pride Month in Lagos 🌈

We supported Empire Q’s Pride Month event in Lagos, helping create more opportunities for LGBTQ+ professionals to connect, learn, and build their careers.

We believe everyone deserves access to education and opportunity regardless of where they come from or who they are.

We supported Nairobi SEO Week 🇰🇪

We supported the SEO community in Nairobi by sponsoring an SEO meetup that brought marketers together to learn, network, and share ideas.

We’re excited to continue supporting local communities across Africa and beyond.

What’s coming in Q3 🚀

We’re just getting started. Here’s what we’re working on next.

  • Hosting Sip & Search in New York for the first time ever!
  • Expanding Sip & Search to more cities
  • Continuing our Expert Series, AMA, CV Revamp, and LinkedIn Review sessions
  • Launching more educational partnerships
  • Growing our mentorship programme
  • Creating even more opportunities for our community worldwide

Thank you ❤️

Everything we’ve achieved this quarter happened because of our volunteers, mentors, partners, sponsors, donors, and community members.

Thank you for believing in our mission to create fairer opportunities for BIPOC talent around the world.
